ACLU vs. the LA County Seal

For my non-Los Angeles Two Tin Can readership:

You may have heard the news about the Los Angeles County seal and the ACLU?

See for yourself:

So what do you think?

Does this seal violate the First Amendment which says:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I think the ACLU has too much time on its hands.

Just my opinion over on the left coast in the land of fruits and nuts,
Rene

This is going to sound a little stupid, but when I first saw that section of the seal, I thought it was the Hollywood Bowl outdoor stage, with stars in the nightime sky, and that cross on the hill that you can see nearby. Maybe they use can that argument, and no one will protest the seal.
